As the cherry blossoms and magnolias begin to bloom all around me, I’m feeling inspired to paint beautiful girls with a bit of an anime influence. Kaila’s wide eyes and white hair make her feel like she’d be just as at home running around the pages of a graphic novel in shiny boots as she is in this simple portrait.

We have a white magnolia tree in front of our house and though the flowers don’t last very long, they’re so beautiful when they’re in bloom.
